The rubrics of the 1979 Prayer Book allow for such a work without providing all of the necessary texts. The book was offered to facilitate worship in the traditional language of Anglicanism.The Anglican Service Book was published by the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rosemont, Pennsylvania.The book is principally used by Anglo-Catholics.As of 2018 the book was out of print, but used copies. A permanent feature of the Church of England's worship and a key source for its doctrine, the Book of Common Prayer is loved for the beauty of its language and its services are widely used.
